Blue-winged Teal at South Cape May Meadows, 11 April, 20'12 |
"Well, if you think round is funny."
(Raising Arizona)
This quick snapshot just about speaks for itself. On one hand, the symmetry of the sleek roundness revealed in this ridiculous pose is indeed fearful. It even, to me at least, evokes the aero/hydrodynamic wonder of a dolphin, for instance.
On the other hand, it looks like a fourth-grader's interpretation of "obloid-spheroid" and "orbit" in clay for a solar system project. And on the third hand, a globe with a clown-faced duck's head stuck to it's side is kinda kooky under the very best circumstances.
And who amongst us would've ever thought a Blue-winged Teal scratching its head would reveal a tyrannosaur-esque quality to its little legs?
